Children and Preschool

Children

Sunday School - Classes for grades 1st through 6th are from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m.

Preschool

Sunday School - Classes for Pre-K and 4 year olds is from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m.

Sunday School - Classes for Birth through 3 year olds begins at 9:00 a.m. This age group remains in the classroom/nursery during the worship service. Toddlers, 2 and 3 year olds are cared for and taught by our ETC Ministry.

Extended Teaching Care (ETC) Ministry is based of volunteers from our church body who serve one Sunday every other month to teach and interact with our preschoolers (Toddlers, 2 and 3 year olds) during the worship service.

 

Kid’s Praise

Children worship service for 4 year olds though 2nd grade beginning around 11:15 a.m. This age group stays in the sanctuary for the first half of the service participating in singing and worshipping with their parents. Just prior to the sermon, the children leave with the Children’s Director and volunteer workers to hear God’s word taught in smaller groups. Activities are tailored specifically for children. Kid’s Praise meets the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month.

 

AWANA

Children from 3 years old through 6th grade may participate on Sundays from 5:15 – 6:45 p.m.

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA) from 2 Timothy 2:15, is an organization that supplies our church with weekly clubs, programs and Bible training for preschoolers through 6th grade. The goal of AWANA is that children would come to know, love and serve Jesus Christ as Lord. Activities include a story/lesson time, age appropriate activities, bible verse memorization, recreation and snack time.

 

Children’s Choir

Children from 3 years old through 6th grade may participate on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

 

Special Events throughout the year:

  • Children’s Camp
  • Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children 4 years old through 6th grade
  • Seasonal Events such as Fall Festival
  • Parent’s Night Out (for members with children birth through 6th grade) is one Friday a month from 6:00 – 10:30 p.m., $5 per child with $10 family maximum
