July 2023

Words from Pastor Ron Milne

During July, our pre-teens will go to camp at Latham Springs, and our youth will go on a mission trip to Arlington, where they will work with children.  Thank you for your generous giving that makes these trips possible.  Your investment in the next generation impacts the future of the church, and the future of America.  I encourage you to also support them with your prayers.  Prayers touch the heart of God, and He holds the present and the future in His hands.

There are going to be some afternoons in July and August where it just gets too hot to enjoy doing anything outside.  Landscape work turns mostly into watering. Be reminded during these times of the “spring” of the Holy Spirit within you.  When your life gets hot and stressed spend more time in prayer and Bible study so you do not wilt.

In Christ, Pastor Ron

Child Development Center

Hello, IBC families!

I say it every month, but this year is FLYING! We have our Summer Campers here but are already looking ahead to back-to school time! With this in mind, we, along with IBC, would like to purchase a "new-to-us" 15 passenger van. Please help us out by keeping your eyes and ears OPEN for this type of vehicle for sale. Also, if you know someone in the business, please let them know, and we appreciate any leads! Those can be sent to me at: nluther@ibctemple.org.

We are still hiring for several positions, including Kitchen manager and lead/Assistant teacher, so send us anyone who may be interested! The growth we've experienced in our little CDC Staff family has been so encouraging. Thank YOU, Lord, for this blessing.

Please come visit us anytime and thank you always for praying, supporting and encouraging those of us at the CDC

Ms. Nicki

Last but not Least....

Joy Sunday School

The Joy Sunday School Class's current service project is making baby blankets for the Hope Pregnancy Center. We welcome anyone to join us, as we have both Fellowship and provide a service to the center. For more information, contact Dolly McCarthy at 325-260-8849.

The Joy Sunday School Class would like to invite you to the bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am. We meet in the Fellowship Hall, room 112. If you are searching for a bible study group, please join us, as we are a small group looking to expand and share God's word.

Happy 4th of July

The office and CDC will be closed on July 4. We will open at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5th. There will be no evening activities on Wednesday.
